If you haven't been following US politics lately, there are quite a few reasons why you should start. The United States is going through a lot of changes right now, and these changes are being guided by political policy-makers. Policies are guided by two powerful political parties in the United States. Those parties are republican and democrat. If the wrong policy-makers are in charge, you might not be happy with the direction this country is moving. That's why it's crucial that you understand the policies that guide political parties. This is especially true if you want the country to move in a direction that's beneficial to the people and to the Earth. Here are three policies that are guided by political action.

Energy

If you're tired of energy waste, or policies that put the environment at risk, it's time to get involved in political policies. Energy and environmental policies are guided by the two political parties. The party with the most power gets to have the biggest influence on these policies. Unfortunately, some of the policy-makers want to steer away from green energy standards, or improved environmental protection policies. That's where you come into the picture. Through your political activism, you can help elect representatives that have your view on the environment.

Healthcare

If your life has been adversely affected by the healthcare system in the United States, it's time to get involved in political policies. Healthcare reform is a big issue facing politicians. While strides have been taken to improve healthcare for everyone in the United States, more work still needs to be done. Part of the work involves ensuring that everyone has access to healthcare. That's why it's important for citizens to take an active role in politics. Political activism ensures that the right people get voted into office. From there, representatives can work to ensure the right policies are enacted.

Social Reform

If you're worried about the social injustices that occur in the United States, there are things you can do to help facilitate change. The first thing you need to do is educate yourself on social policies. One way to do that is to understand how each party approaches social reform. From there, you can work to ensure that the right representatives are voted into office. Once the right representatives are in office, make sure you continue to advocate for the changes you want to see.
